Gun control in NH House

ALERT – GUN CONTROL Hearings Coming Up

January 30, 2020 / NHWomen / 2nd Amendment, gun control

Because Bloomberg Democrats must do the bidding of their master, there are more GUN CONTROL bills coming up for hearings in the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. Information regarding these ridiculous bills (that do NOTHING for ‘gun safety’ and EVERYTHING to make law-abiding citizens LESS safe) is below.

Show up at the hearings. You do not have to testify. You can sign in against these draconian gun control measures and show the committee that, as always, Granite Staters refuse to kowtow to out-of-state organizations seeking to harm their protected fundamental human right to self defense.

Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee
When: Tuesday –  February 4
Where: Legislative Office Building – Room 204

1:00 PM  – HB 1350AN ACT requiring a locking safety device be provided for commercial firearm sales and transfers.

This legislation leaves ‘approved’ safety devices, including firearm safes, up to the NH Commissioner of Safety. Not only do most manufacturers already include locking safety devices with new firearms but for those who don’t, this legislation will increase the price of firearms, which directly affects those who can least afford them but need them the most.

On top of this, the legislation leaves ‘safety’ devices to be approved by the Commissioner of Safety. This leads down a very slippery slope of having very few devices approved and eventually, firearm safe ‘checks’ in your home.

This legislation does nothing for safety. It’s only about control.

Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee
When: Wednesday –  February 12
Where: Legislative Office Building – Room 204

1:00 PM – HB 1608 – AN ACT prohibiting the manufacture, sale, transfer, and possession of large capacity ammunition feeding devices.

The sponsors of this legislation are making up the term ‘large capacity.’ They don’t understand (because they know nothing about firearms) that a 32-round magazine is STANDARD CAPACITY for many modern semi-automatic rifles. From the gun control bill [emphasis added]:

                   I.  “Large capacity ammunition feeding device” means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept:

                  (a)  More than 10 rounds of ammunition for a long gun; or

                  (b)  More than 15 rounds of ammunition for a hand gun.

These legislators seem to have e.s.p. and know EXACTLY how many rounds a person may need if attacked, especially women. They should probably alert victims before victimizing them AGAIN, with this law. This is more out-of-state legislation, supported by a NYC billionaire that seeks to criminalize law-abiding Granite Staters.

Once again, this legislation has absolutely nothing to do with gun safety and everything to do with CONTROL.
