Gun Confiscation Bill Exec Session

UPDATE – They have changed the exec session to February 26th.

The House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee is scheduled to vote on HB 159 – aka – the ‘gun confiscation bill’, in an executive session, on Friday, February 21st.

An amendment was added to the bill to try and ‘make it better,’ but it doesn’t. While mandatory confiscation language was removed from the bill, when asked about this at the hearing, the sponsor, Terry Roy, stated that it would be up to law enforcement what they choose to do. Really Terry? Really?

Not only that, but the amendment takes away the 2nd Amendment RIGHTS of anyone who lives in the home with the person being targeted.

You can’t fix a bad bill. You certainly can’t fix a bad bill with an equally bad amendment.
