We first went last year at the end of Summer and decided to make this an annual event because it was such a wonderful place to visit. This year we’ll be able to see their beautiful gardens in the Spring! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Pickity Place? \n\n\n\n“Since 1786 our quaint little red cottage has graced the hills of southern New Hampshire\, seemingly untouched by time. The enchanting cottage was chosen by Elizabeth Orton Jones as the model for her illustrations in Little Red Riding Hood (Little Golden Books\, 1948). Today it is a mecca for gardeners\, foodies and anyone looking for inspiration and relaxation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will still find our hilltop hideaway at the end of the winding dirt road. Lighten your spirit as you step out of your world and into ours. Welcome to Pickity Place.” – Pickity Place \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Sunday\, May 3rd\, the Ladies of the League will visit the magical place known as Pickity Place! DESCRIPTION:Basic Pistol Class – WOMEN ONLY Range Staff. Women only students with women only range staff! Women empowering women! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen & Where \n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Sunday\, May 17th (starting promptly at 8:30 am) to 4:30 pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game Club. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended but not required. Wearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. Space is limited to 24 participants and spots will only be held for people who pre-pay. NOTE: These classes fill up extremely fast\, spots are reserved on a first-come\, first-serve basis!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants are also expected to complete a liability waiver prior to participation which will be made available at the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can register for the class here:  https://wdlnh.org/services/basic%20pistol%20registration/ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If The League has to cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class. DESCRIPTION:Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms along with their New England partners is holding the first ever New England firearms advocacy conference on Saturday\, May 30th. The event will be held at The Castle in Chicopee\, MA. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom CCRKBA: \n\n\n\n\nCCRKBA\, in conjunction with our New England partners — Connecticut Citizens Defense League\, Massachusetts Gun Owners’ Action League\, Gun Owners of Maine\, New Hampshire Firearms Coalition\, Rhode Island 2nd Amendment Coalition\, and Vermont Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs — will host the inaugural Firearms Advocacy Conference \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us as the New England Firearms Advocacy Conference where together some of the top minds and staunchest advocates from the New England states to discuss legislation\, litigation\, lobbying\, and more! Speakers are to include Second Amendment giants\, legislators\, attorneys\, and content creators. Participants will be provided coffee\, pastries\, and lunch as well as a program packed with quality presentations and speakers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are only $25 for general admission.
