SUMMARY:Range Safety Officer Certification Class - MEMBERS ONLY
DESCRIPTION:Become a certified NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO)!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will learn the skills and requirements to run a range safely and be certified to be an RSO on any range\, not just for the League. The Range Safety Officer (RS)) course content consists of RSO’s roles and responsibilities\, range standard operating procedures\, range inspection and range rules\, firearm stoppages and malfunctions\, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are charging only $25 for League members BUT we ask that you volunteer for two shooting events per year. You will shadow a current RSO for the first year at two shooting events. We have multiple shooting events each year.  RSOs are only needed on the range during shoots so the time volunteering is only a few hours at a time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ‘regular’ price for an RSO certification runs $125 and up. We are only charging for the books you will receive because we are asking that you also help the League in return. Besides\, as serious as we are about safety\, we also have fun! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is an NRA class and upon successful completion of the class and exam\, you will be certified as an NRA RSO! \n\n\n\n Can't see the form? SUMMARY:Basic Pistol Class - Women Only Range Staff
DESCRIPTION:When & Where \n\n\n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Saturday\, March 29th from 8:15am (starting promptly at 8:30am) to 5:00pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game at 5 Lund Street in Litchfield. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Participants should dress accordingly dependent upon the weather. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended\, but not required. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. Space is limited to 24 participants and spots will only be held for people who pre-pay. NOTE: These classes fill up extremely fast\, spots are reserved on a first-come\, first-serve basis!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants are also expected to complete a liability waiver prior to participation which will be made available at the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can register for the class here:  https://wdlnh.org/services/basic%20pistol%20registration/ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If The League has to cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class. SUMMARY:Skill Builder Shoot - St. Paddy’s Day Menace!
DESCRIPTION:This shoot is for those members who have previously taken a New Shooters Shoot\, our Basic Pistol class\, or are experienced shooters. This is a member only class. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will shoot the evil Leprechaun from Baker Targets based on call outs by an instructor. It’s FUN but also helps you think before you shoot and practice aiming. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou bring your own firearm and ammo so you can practice with the firearm you use. If you don’t have a firearm yet\, you can use one of The League’s. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere will be instructors to help and other members to shoot with! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll members must register with events@wdlnh.org so we have enough range staff.
