You stand a much better chance of preventing criminal attack if you develop a safety plan before you need it. That is why we are offering the NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® crime prevention seminar. \nThis is a non-firearms seminar. DESCRIPTION:**THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED**  – Look for our new 2020 schedule coming up soon!\nAs part of our ongoing commitment to bring firearms education to Granite State women\, the Women’s Defense League of NH is pleased to announce that we are now offering ladies-only NRA Basic Pistol Classes! We are the only organization in the state that offers women-only classes entirely taught by women instructors and range support. \nOur upcoming class is on Saturday\,  November 9\, 2019 from 8:00am (starting promptly at 8:30am) to 5:00pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game at 5 Lund Street in Litchfield. Drive through the gates around to the metal building on the left. \nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a bench rest position and two-handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $85 and for League members it is $60. NOTE: These classes fill up extremely fast\, spots are reserved on a first-come\, first-serve basis!! \nhttps://wdlnh.org/services/basic-pistol-registration/ \nAll participants are also expected to complete a liability waiver prior to participation which will be made available at the event. \nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Although the classroom instruction will take place in a heated space\, the range is outdoors so participants should dress accordingly. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended\, but not required. \nWearing layers and gloves as well in case it is cold is also helpful. \nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \nIf you have any questions\, please email us at info@wdlnh.org. \n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If the League must cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class. DESCRIPTION:ALERT: We’ve decided to CANCEL tonight’s BOD and Annual Meeting due to NOT really knowing WHAT the weather is going to do for sure. \nWe will re-schedule the BOD meeting for a conference call and let you know when that will be ahead of time. \nThe Annual Meeting will now take place for the first hour (or less) of the Annual Holiday Party – so if you only want the meeting – you show up for an hour and leave or if you only want the party – you show up at 2PM instead of one! Or you can enjoy both without adding another day on the calendar! \n\nDETAILS will follow but please stay safe out there!!!!!!!!!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n \nJoin us for our Annual Members Meeting where we update members on what is going on in The League over the past year along with what we’ll be working on in the upcoming year. \nNovember is also our annual ELECTIONS!!!!! \nIn order to vote in elections\, you must be a full member in good standing and have attended at least 3 events (of any sort) over the past year! \nWe’ll be holding our Annual Meeting at our Office in Concord. We’ll provide some platters and would love if people brought some potluck (because you all bring THE best potluck!). \n\nWe’re holding our meeting at our office in order for everyone to finally get a glimpse of it – almost like an Open House! \n\nFor those interested\, the Board Meeting will start at 5pm and all members are welcome to attend.
