SUMMARY:Introduction to Rifle Class
DESCRIPTION:The Women’s Defense League will hold an Introduction to Rifle class on Saturday\, October 12\, 2019 from 9-1PM at Londonderry Fish and Game Club. \nThe class will focus on semi-automatic rifles. Students will learn the basics of semi-automatic rifles as well as how they function. They will be taught rifle handling; safety; stance and proper loading/unloading in the classroom. \nRange time will include shooting 15/22s from a bench rest position as well as a standing position. If students are interested\, they will also be able to try a larger caliber rifle. \nClassroom training will be provided by League certified NRA Instructors. Range time includes one-on-one instructor training with League instructors. \nThis is not a NRA class so no certificate of completion is included. This is an introductory class for those who are interested in learning more about rifles. It is much like our New Shooters Shoot only it’s about rifles\, not pistols\, and it’s outside! \nTo register\, email Cynthia at events@wdlnh.org who will then provide further details and a link for payment. The cost of this class is $25 for members and $30 for non-members to help with the cost of ammunition. Responding to the Facebook event is not sufficient to reserve your spot. Class size is limited and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Walk-ins are not accepted. \nPlease arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 to sign in and get situated. The class will start promptly at 9AM sharp. \nWe will provide the firearms and ammo and limited quantities of eye and ear protection; please bring your own eye/ear protection if you have it. \nPlease wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. Dress appropriately for the weather. The classroom is in a sheltered area\, but the range is outdoors. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended. \n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If the League must cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class. Any cancellation by participants are not eligible for refunds.

DESCRIPTION:This is for members only who have already completed our safety class or taken a Basic Pistol Class with us. Bring your own firearm (if it’s new be sure to practice loading and racking the slide before coming to the shoot because we’ll want to verify you can do it) and ammunition and get some practice before we welcome new shooters on the line! \nIt’s a great chance to meet other members and have fun shooting with the girls! \nYou must register for this event in advance as well so that we know how many instructors to have available that day. SUMMARY:New Shooters Shoot
DESCRIPTION:These classes are intended as a basic introduction to firearms safety and shooting. They are a great starting point for training and incorporate both detailed classroom teaching\, hands-on drills\, and range instruction. All ladies who are new to our League classes must first participate in our New Shooters Intro Class before qualifying for additional firearms events. We have women NRA-certified instructors and NRA-certified Range Safety Officers to provide a safe environment. \nThe New Shooters Intro Classes are open to League members and guests. All non-members are required to pre-register as a Student for a Day for a fee of $20 which can be used towards a membership if you choose. Walk-ins are not accepted. All participants in our New Shooters Intro Class will use a .22 caliber pistol and ammo that we provide. This is to help new shooters be comfortable and build on success. \nAll attendees must register ahead of time as the classes fill up very quickly and we have a limited number of seats we can fill. All events will be on our Facebook Page with more information when the registration is available and by emailing events@wdlnh.org for further information on how to register. \n  \n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If The League has to cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class.
