SUMMARY:Range Safety Officer Certification Class - MEMBERS ONLY
DESCRIPTION:Become a certified NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO)!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will learn the skills and requirements to run a range safely and be certified to be an RSO on any range\, not just for the League. The Range Safety Officer (RS)) course content consists of RSO’s roles and responsibilities\, range standard operating procedures\, range inspection and range rules\, firearm stoppages and malfunctions\, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are charging only $25 for League members BUT we ask that you volunteer for two shooting events per year. You will shadow a current RSO for the first year at two shooting events. We have multiple shooting events each year.  RSOs are only needed on the range during shoots so the time volunteering is only a few hours at a time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ‘regular’ price for an RSO certification runs $125 and up. We are only charging for the books you will receive because we are asking that you also help the League in return. Besides\, as serious as we are about safety\, we also have fun! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is an NRA class and upon successful completion of the class and exam\, you will be certified as an NRA RSO! \n\n\n\n Can't see the form? SUMMARY:Basic Pistol Class - Women Only Range Staff
DESCRIPTION:When & Where \n\n\n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Saturday\, March 29th from 8:15am (starting promptly at 8:30am) to 5:00pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game at 5 Lund Street in Litchfield. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Participants should dress accordingly dependent upon the weather. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended\, but not required. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. DESCRIPTION:This shoot is for those members who have previously taken a New Shooters Shoot\, our Basic Pistol class\, or are experienced shooters. This is a member only class. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will shoot the evil Leprechaun from Baker Targets based on call outs by an instructor. It’s FUN but also helps you think before you shoot and practice aiming. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou bring your own firearm and ammo so you can practice with the firearm you use. If you don’t have a firearm yet\, you can use one of The League’s. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere will be instructors to help and other members to shoot with! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll members must register with events@wdlnh.org so we have enough range staff.

SUMMARY:New Shooters Shoot - Women Only Range Staff
DESCRIPTION:All ladies who are new to our League classes must first participate in our New Shooters Intro Class before qualifying for additional firearms events. We have women NRA-certified instructors and NRA-certified Range Safety Officers to provide a safe environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe New Shooters Intro Classes are open to League members and guests. All non-members are required to pre-register as a Student for a Day for a fee of $25 which can be used towards a membership if you choose. Walk-ins are not accepted. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants in our New Shooters Intro Class will use a .22 caliber pistol and ammo that we provide. DESCRIPTION:This shoot is for those members who have previously taken a New Shooters Shoot\, our Basic Pistol class\, or are experienced shooters. This is a member only class. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will shoot at the target based on call outs by an instructor. It’s FUN but also helps you think before you shoot and practice aiming. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou bring your own firearm and ammo so you can practice with the firearm you use. If you don’t have a firearm yet\, you can use one of The League’s. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere will be instructors to help and other women to shoot with! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll members must register with events@wdlnh.org so we have enough range staff.

SUMMARY:New Shooters Shoot - Women Only Range Staff
DESCRIPTION:All ladies who are new to our League classes must first participate in our New Shooters Intro Class before qualifying for additional firearms events. We have women NRA-certified instructors and NRA-certified Range Safety Officers to provide a safe environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe New Shooters Intro Classes are open to League members and guests. All non-members are required to pre-register as a Student for a Day for a fee of $25 which can be used towards a membership if you choose. Walk-ins are not accepted. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants in our New Shooters Intro Class will use a .22 caliber pistol and ammo that we provide. DESCRIPTION:This is for members only who have already completed our ‘New Shooters’ safety class\, taken a Basic Pistol Class\, or are experienced shooters. Bring your own firearm (if it’s new be sure to practice loading and racking the slide before coming to the shoot because we’ll want to verify you can do it) and ammunition and get some practice before we welcome new shooters on the line!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll also have firearms available if you do not have one yet and are still learning! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s a great chance to meet other members and have fun shooting with the girls! Instructors will be on the range to help you master your shooting skills. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nYou must register for this event in advance as well so that we know how many instructors to have available that day. Now’s your chance to try some of the most popular handguns with our instructors! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou’ll not only be able to ask questions of the owners of the firearms you’re trying but you’ll get to check the grip and slide and decide whether or not you want to shoot it! Then you can check the trigger pull and recoil! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s the perfect combination to test drive a firearm before going to a shop to buy it!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is a Members Only event and will have limited capacity.  When the event is open for registration\, you must contact events at events@wdlnh.org to register \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe haven’t done this in a while\, but you can check out photos from a previous event!
