DESCRIPTION:The League will be going on tours of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses in Manchester\, NH. This tour is part of the Currier Museum and lasts 2 hours. General museum admission is also included in the ticket price\, so we can head to the museum after we return from the tour. After that\, we can head out to lunch somewhere local! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe tour is from 9:30 – 11:30 AM. You must arrive at the Currier Museum by 9:15. A shuttle bus takes attendees to the houses and then back again. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho is Frank Lloyd Wright? \n\n\n\n\nFrank Lloyd Wright\, American architect and central figure in modern architecture\, advanced the Prairie Style and Organic Architecture\, reshaping 20th-century design in the United States and beyond.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are $55/person. DESCRIPTION:Gun cleaning class for MEMBERS ONLY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou shoot ’em\, you should know how to clean ’em!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis class will bring you through how to take apart your firearm\, clean it properly and then put it back together! You can bring a handgun OR rifle for this class! We’ll also have League rifles and handguns to help clean as well! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlthough there is no cost for this workshop\, we ask attendees to do the following:— Bring your own pistol or revolver (no long arms!) and a hard copy of the manual. Most firearms manufacturers have manuals available online if you need to print one out.— You should be comfortable with the disassembly and reassembly of your equipment.— If you don’t have a firearm\, we will clean the League’s equipment.— Bring your own supplies including towels\, swabs\, cleaning products\, and lubricants. Because ventilation may be an issue\, please do not bring sprays.— Do not bring ammo as this is *not* a shooting event and it is not allowed in the classroom. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease register at events@wdlnh.org as class size is limited.

SUMMARY:Defensive Spray Training
DESCRIPTION:The Defensive Spray Training will teach women how to safely and accurately use pepper spray. Pepper spray is a non-lethal inflammatory agent that can help women thwart off an attacker long enough to escape to safety and call for help. This is a MACE brand defensive spray training class taught by a certified instructor. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhile the League teaches women how to safely and accurately shoot firearms\, there are places where firearms are not permissible. Pepper spray is legal in all 50 states and can enable women to defend themselves when they can’t or aren’t carrying a firearm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis class will teach women how to safely and accurately use pepper spray as well as: \n\n\n\n-What chemical irritants are and the science behind them \n\n\n\n-Situational awareness \n\n\n\n-Using chemical irritants and the legal considerations \n\n\n\n-Live practice with a water trainer \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents will get an introduction to the “MACE brand of pepper spray which is the easiest\, most affordable\, proactive method of self-defense and can be carried by everyone of legal age.“ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe class is $25 for members of the League and $30 for non-members. You will receive a student guide and will be able to purchase pepper spray at the class if you choose. DESCRIPTION:Basic Pistol Class – WOMEN ONLY Range Staff. Women only students with women only range staff! Women empowering women! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen & Where \n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Sunday\, May 17th (starting promptly at 8:30 am) to 4:30 pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game Club. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended but not required. Wearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. Space is limited to 24 participants and spots will only be held for people who pre-pay. NOTE: These classes fill up extremely fast\, spots are reserved on a first-come\, first-serve basis!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants are also expected to complete a liability waiver prior to participation which will be made available at the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can register for the class here:  https://wdlnh.org/services/basic%20pistol%20registration/ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If The League has to cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class. It’s the perfect time of year to be at an outdoor range to get some fresh air and training! Even if you can’t make it until 6:00 PM\, we’ll be there!!! And if you only want to attend from 5:30 – 6:00 PM\, that’s perfectly okay as well!!! This is all about YOU and getting some more range time and training in. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJust bring your own firearm and ammo and you can train OR get help from an instructor where needed! If you don’t have a firearm yet\, we’ll let you borrow one of ours\, no problem! We’ll also provide some fun targets for you to use from all our years of collecting FUN targets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is a FREE event for members only. It will be held at Renaissance Firearms in Barrington\, NH in a temperature controlled indoor range. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended but not required. Wearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. DESCRIPTION:New Shooters Shoot – for women who have never touched a firearm or those who want a quick refresher class on safety in a women-only shooting environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have NRA-certified instructors and NRA-certified Range Safety Officers to provide a safe environment. We are the first\, and one of the only women-only shooting environments in New Hampshire! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe New Shooters Intro Classes are open to League members and guests. All non-members are required to pre-register as a Student for a Day for a fee of $25 which can be used towards a membership if you choose. Walk-ins are not accepted. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants in our New Shooters Intro Class will use a .22 caliber pistol and ammo that we provide. SUMMARY:Annual Holiday Party!
DESCRIPTION:This is one of our MOST fun events of the year! We’ll have a potluck and Yankee swap. To get your number\, you have to shoot at a snowman who is shooting at you!!! It’s a $20 limit for the Yankee swap if you want to participate\, but participation is not necessary. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll also be creating lovely ornaments using spent shotgun shell casings and lots of glitter!!!! There may even be some fun resin projects for us to work on! The possibilities are endless! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCheck out photos from last year’s party.
