DESCRIPTION:This is for members only who have already completed our ‘New Shooters’ safety class\, taken a Basic Pistol Class\, or are experienced shooters. Bring your own firearm (if it’s new be sure to practice loading and racking the slide before coming to the shoot because we’ll want to verify you can do it) and ammunition and get some practice before we welcome new shooters on the line! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll also have firearms available if you do not have one yet and are still learning! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s a great chance to meet other members and have fun shooting with the girls! Instructors will be on the range to help you master your shooting skills. We’ll also have some various handguns for members to try before they go out and buy!!! We’ll have some of the more popular handguns women are using for self-defensive. It’s a mini ‘try it before you buy it!’ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*You must have taken our Basic Pistol class\, New Shooters Shoot\, or be an experienced shooter before attending one of these shoots.* \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou must register for this event in advance as well so that we know how many instructors to have available that day. SUMMARY:CLASS IS FULL - Intro to Rifle - Women Only Environment
DESCRIPTION:Want to learn about rifles with women-only instructors and range staff? This Intro to Rifle is the class for you!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe class focuses on semi-automatic rifles. Students will be taught the basics of semi-automatic rifles as well as how they function. You will be taught the parts of a rifle and how they work as well as rifle handling; safety; stance and proper loading/unloading in the classroom. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOnce the classroom portion is over\, you get to actually test out what you learned on the range! Range time will include shooting .22 caliber semi-automatic rifles. The League provides the rifles and ammunition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClassroom training will be provided by League certified NRA instructors and will last about an hour and a half. Range time includes one-on-one instructor training with League instructors. This is a women-only class in a women-only environment! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is not a class where you will receive a certificate of completion. This is an introductory class for those who are interested in learning more about rifles. It is much like our New Shooters Shoot class. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe class is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. DESCRIPTION:The League will be going on tours of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses in Manchester\, NH. This tour is part of the Currier Museum and lasts 2 hours. General museum admission is also included in the ticket price\, so we can head to the museum after we return from the tour. After that\, we can head out to lunch somewhere local! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe tour is from 9:30 – 11:30 AM. You must arrive at the Currier Museum by 9:15. A shuttle bus takes attendees to the houses and then back again. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho is Frank Lloyd Wright? \n\n\n\n\nFrank Lloyd Wright\, American architect and central figure in modern architecture\, advanced the Prairie Style and Organic Architecture\, reshaping 20th-century design in the United States and beyond.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are $55/person. DESCRIPTION:Gun cleaning class for MEMBERS ONLY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou shoot ’em\, you should know how to clean ’em!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis class will bring you through how to take apart your firearm\, clean it properly and then put it back together! You can bring a handgun OR rifle for this class! We’ll also have League rifles and handguns to help clean as well! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlthough there is no cost for this workshop\, we ask attendees to do the following:— Bring your own pistol or revolver (no long arms!) and a hard copy of the manual. Most firearms manufacturers have manuals available online if you need to print one out.— You should be comfortable with the disassembly and reassembly of your equipment.— If you don’t have a firearm\, we will clean the League’s equipment.— Bring your own supplies including towels\, swabs\, cleaning products\, and lubricants. Because ventilation may be an issue\, please do not bring sprays.— Do not bring ammo as this is *not* a shooting event and it is not allowed in the classroom. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease register at events@wdlnh.org as class size is limited.

SUMMARY:Defensive Spray Training
DESCRIPTION:The Defensive Spray Training will teach women how to safely and accurately use pepper spray. Pepper spray is a non-lethal inflammatory agent that can help women thwart off an attacker long enough to escape to safety and call for help. This is a MACE brand defensive spray training class taught by a certified instructor. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhile the League teaches women how to safely and accurately shoot firearms\, there are places where firearms are not permissible. Pepper spray is legal in all 50 states and can enable women to defend themselves when they can’t or aren’t carrying a firearm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis class will teach women how to safely and accurately use pepper spray as well as: \n\n\n\n-What chemical irritants are and the science behind them \n\n\n\n-Situational awareness \n\n\n\n-Using chemical irritants and the legal considerations \n\n\n\n-Live practice with a water trainer \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents will get an introduction to the “MACE brand of pepper spray which is the easiest\, most affordable\, proactive method of self-defense and can be carried by everyone of legal age.“ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe class is $25 for members of the League and $30 for non-members. You will receive a student guide and will be able to purchase pepper spray at the class if you choose. DESCRIPTION:Basic Pistol Class – WOMEN ONLY Range Staff. Women only students with women only range staff! Women empowering women! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen & Where \n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Sunday\, May 17th (starting promptly at 8:30 am) to 4:30 pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game Club. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended but not required. Wearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. DESCRIPTION:Join the ladies of the League for some Beginner Line Dancing!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Saddle Up Saloon is offering a beginner’s line dancing class on Tuesday\, June 9th. The cost is $15/person and they’ll give you a $5 voucher towards dinner. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLine dancing starts at 7PM so we’ll probably get there around 5:30 for dinner. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom Saddle Up Saloon: \n\n\n\nFee: $15 (includes $5 entrée voucher)  \n\n\n\nRound up your friends and get ready to kick up some dust! Join us for Beginner Line Dancing every other Tuesday this summer at Saddle Up Saloon\, brought to you by the amazing team at Lark Line Dance. DESCRIPTION:Our annual family picnic is one of our most fun events of the year!!! This is when members can bring their families to shoot\, socialize with other members and their families\, eat some fantastic food and celebrate the League’s 12th birthday!!!!!!!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll start with some fabulous lunch – the League provides burgers and hot dogs.
