On our expeditions we have the most likely chance of encountering 40 ton Humpback Whales\, 70 ft. Finback Whales\, Minke Whales\, and Atlantic White-sided Dolphins. Other species sighted include highly endangered Right Whales\, Harbor Porpoises\, Grey and Harbor Seals\, Tuna\, Ocean Sunfish and sharks. This event is designed for women who are passionate about shooting sports and want to connect with like-minded individuals. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced shooter\, this event offers a supportive environment to learn\, grow\, and have fun. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBe among the first women to experience the first NATIONAL weekend event for Iron Rose Women’s Shooting Club. You’ll have a choice of workshops and courses to work with certified instructors in both Indoor and Outdoor ranges and classroom sessions covering residential rifle clinics\, practical handgun clinics\, try difffernt pistols\, self‑defense\, less‑than‑lethal techniques\, and so much more. Build your own schedule by choosing from a variety of workshops—some have limited spots\, so register early to lock in your favorites. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOptional Early check in Friday\, then hit the ground running with hands-on training Saturday morning. Wrap up the day with a banquet to celebrate your progress and connect with other women in the shooting community. Training continues on Sunday with another full day of sessions. DESCRIPTION:New Shooters Shoot – for women who have never touched a firearm or those who want a quick refresher class on safety and shooting. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have NRA-certified instructors and NRA-certified Range Safety Officers to provide a safe environment. We are the first\, and one of the only women-only shooting environments in New Hampshire! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe New Shooters Intro Classes are open to League members and guests. All non-members are required to pre-register as a Student for a Day for a fee of $25 which can be used towards a membership if you choose. Walk-ins are not accepted. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants in our New Shooters Intro Class will use a .22 caliber pistol and ammo that we provide. SUMMARY:Intro to Rifle - Women-Only Environment
DESCRIPTION:Want to learn about rifles with women-only instructors and range staff? This Intro to Rifle is the class for you!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe class focuses on semi-automatic rifles. Students will be taught the basics of semi-automatic rifles as well as how they function. You will be taught the parts of a rifle and how they work as well as rifle handling; safety; stance and proper loading/unloading in the classroom. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOnce the classroom portion is over\, you get to actually test out what you learned on the range! Range time will include shooting .22 caliber semi-automatic rifles.  The League provides the rifles and ammunition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClassroom training will be provided by League certified NRA instructors and will last about an hour and a half. Range time includes one-on-one instructor training with League instructors. This is a women-only class in a women-only environment! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is not a class where you will receive a certificate of completion. This is an introductory class for those who are interested in learning more about rifles. It is much like our New Shooters Shoot class. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe class is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. DESCRIPTION:Women’s Firearm Training\n\n\n\nBasic Pistol Class – WOMEN ONLY Range Staff. Women only students with women only range staff! Women empowering women! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen & Where \n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Saturday\, November 8th (starting promptly at 8:30 am) to 4:30 pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game at 5 Lund Street in Litchfield. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Participants should dress accordingly dependent upon the weather. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended\, but not required. Wearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. DESCRIPTION:This is a member-only class for women who are comfortable shooting and have some experience on the range. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn self-defense scenarios\, a criminal isn’t going to wait for you to align your sites so you can stop him from attacking! This class will show students point and shoot basics so they can begin their journey to learning more about using a firearm in self-defense. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents will use their own firearm that they want to train with for self-defense\, whether in the home\, or to carry concealed. It’s a place to smash things to get rid of stress while having fun at the same time! From the Break Room: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGot some aggression to let out or just want to smash some stuff?  Come release your stress by smashing objects in a room with fun weapons like a kitchen pot\, golf club or heavy tool! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll be breaking things in the Glowing Recommendation room! The fun begins at 5:20 PM. Participants need to be there by 5:00 for instructions and gear. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe cost is $50/person for 1/2 hour of breaking. You receive 2 milk crates of glowing breakables. This also includes all safety gear as well. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere is a limit to the number of participants\, so it is on a first come\, first serve basis. Most firearms manufacturers have manuals available online if you need to print one out.— You should be comfortable with the disassembly and reassembly of your equipment.— If you don’t have a firearm\, we will clean the League’s equipment.— Bring your own supplies including towels\, swabs\, cleaning products\, and lubricants. DESCRIPTION:The Defensive Spray Training will teach women how to safely and accurately use pepper spray. Pepper spray is a non-lethal inflammatory agent that can help women thwart off an attacker long enough to escape to safety and call for help. This is a MACE brand defensive spray training class taught by a certified instructor. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhile the League teaches women how to safely and accurately shoot firearms\, there are places where firearms are not permissible. Pepper spray is legal in all 50 states and can enable women to defend themselves when they can’t or aren’t carrying a firearm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis class will teach women how to safely and accurately use pepper spray as well as: \n\n\n\n-What chemical irritants are and the science behind them \n\n\n\n-Situational awareness \n\n\n\n-Using chemical irritants and the legal considerations \n\n\n\n-Live practice with a water trainer \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents will get an introduction to the “MACE brand of pepper spray which is the easiest\, most affordable\, proactive method of self-defense and can be carried by everyone of legal age.“ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe class is $25 for members of the League and $30 for non-members. You will receive a student guide and will be able to purchase pepper spray at the class if you choose. DESCRIPTION:Basic Pistol Class – WOMEN ONLY Range Staff. Women only students with women only range staff! Women empowering women! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen & Where \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Sunday\, February 8th (starting promptly at 8:30 am) to 4:30 pm. It will be held at Renaissance Firearms in Barrington\, NH in a temperature controlled indoor range. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended but not required. Wearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. All ladies groups are invited! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCDI Motto: “Reality Based Training for the Real World”Meet CDI owner Rob Tibbo who will provide us with a complete overview of CDI (with ample Q&A) and explain why it’s crucial for an individual to have effective and progressive self-defense training. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll meet in the classroom and tour the dojo and indoor simunition shoot house which simulates a real-world environment for training. No one in the region has this!!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRob is providing us with a FREE Workshop to explain the importance of:– Movement– Reactionary Gaps– Pre-incident indicators– Recreational vs Defensive Firearms training– Pre-contact cues– OODA Loop– Boundary: proxemic circles– Defensive handgun conceptsInterested in learning/understanding concealed carry?
