SUMMARY:New Shooters Shoot
DESCRIPTION:These classes are intended as a basic introduction to firearms safety and shooting. They are a great starting point for training and incorporate both detailed classroom teaching\, hands-on drills\, and range instruction. All ladies who are new to our League classes must first participate in our New Shooters Intro Class before qualifying for additional firearms events. We have women NRA-certified instructors and NRA-certified Range Safety Officers to provide a safe environment. \nThe New Shooters Intro Classes are open to League members and guests. All non-members are required to pre-register as a Student for a Day for a fee of $25 which can be used towards a membership if you choose. Walk-ins are not accepted. All participants in our New Shooters Intro Class will use a .22 caliber pistol and ammo that we provide. This is to help new shooters be comfortable and build on success. \nAll attendees must register ahead of time as the classes fill up very quickly and we have a limited number of seats we can fill. Please send an email to events@wdlnh.org to register. \nAfter your payment is sent\, you will receive an email within a few days confirming your registration in the class. \nIf you are an existing member of the League\, email events@wdlnh.org for registration – this class is FREE to members. \nThe class is from 8:30AM to 12:30PM. Please arrive about 15 minutes early. The class will begin promptly at 8:30AM. \n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If The League has to cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class. SUMMARY:Basic Pistol Class - Women Only Range Staff
DESCRIPTION:When & Where \nOur upcoming class is on Sunday\, May 15th from 8:00am (starting promptly at 8:30am) to 5:00pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game at 5 Lund Street in Litchfield. \nClass \nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \nDay of Class \nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Participants should dress accordingly dependent upon the weather. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended\, but not required. \nWearing layers is also helpful. \nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \nRegistration \nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. Space is limited to 24 participants and spots will only be held for people who pre-pay. These are skill building targets that are also used by some Law Enforcement for practice. \nAn instructor will call out a number\, color or shape and you’ll have to *think* before you shoot. It’s not a matter of working fast\, it’s a matter of thinking on your feet! \nThis is a great class\, open to MEMBERS ONLY. \nRegistration is a must as the class size is limited. DESCRIPTION:The League will be joining Renaissance Firearms for a Women-only Symposium.  The symposium is full but women can still come down and shoot – try it before you buy it!  We’ll also have a table there so you can talk to women about the League and everything we have to offer!!\n\nFrom Renaissance Firearms:\nThe line up says it all with\,\n* Women’s defense league of New Hampshire and guest speaker Donna Temm from Alternative Solutions.\n\n* Becoming an outdoors woman NH\, talking about everything outdoors from Hunting\, Fishing\, Hiking\, Archery and Survival.\n\n* UNH shooting team\, highlighting sport shooting like Trap\, Skeet\, Sporting clays\, Pistol and Rifle.\n\n* Our own female Instructor and staff.\n\nWith all that\, there is going to be So much to take away from this event! All I can say is even I am excited and I’m not even allowed to go. \n\n\nIt’s all about you! No boys allowed\, that includes the range 4-8pm March 19th and 20th for those who don’t get seats for the main event. You’re still more than welcome to come down and shoot for free\, stay for some good conversation when the speakers are finished whether you’re just curious\, new to the shooting world or you’re just looking into expanding your knowledge.\n\n\nWe’ll have staff ready and available for any questions about future classes\, firearms\, holsters\, ammo or even advice on clothing while carrying or alternate carry methods. SUMMARY:Gun Cleaning Class - MEMBERS ONLY
DESCRIPTION:  \nYou shoot ’em\, you should know how to clean ’em!!! \nThis class will bring you through how to take apart your firearm\, clean it properly and then put it back together! \nAlthough there is no cost for this workshop\, we ask attendees to do the following:\n— Bring your own pistol or revolver (no long arms!) and a hard copy of the manual. Most firearms manufacturers have manuals available online if you need to print one out.\n— You should be comfortable with the disassembly and reassembly of your equipment.\n— If you don’t have a firearm\, we will clean the League’s equipment.\n— Bring your own supplies including towels\, swabs\, cleaning products\, and lubricants. Because ventilation may be an issue\, please do not bring sprays.\n— Do not bring ammo as this is *not* a shooting event and it is not allowed in the classroom. \nPlease register at events@wdlnh.org as class size is limited.

SUMMARY:Annual Holiday Party
DESCRIPTION:This is our Annual Holiday Party event for members only. It’s one of the most fun events of the year! Potluck and Yankee Swap (if interested). Rather than grabbing a number from a hat for the Yankee Swap\, members shoot at snowman targets (the snowman is pointing a firearm at you!). DESCRIPTION:This is for members only who have already completed our ‘New Shooters’ safety class or taken a Basic Pistol Class with us. Bring your own firearm (if it’s new be sure to practice loading and racking the slide before coming to the shoot because we’ll want to verify you can do it) and ammunition and get some practice before we welcome new shooters on the line! \nIt’s a great chance to meet other members and have fun shooting with the girls! \nYou must have taken our Basic Pistol class or New Shooters Shoot before attending one of these shoots. \nYou must register for this event in advance as well so that we know how many instructors to have available that day. SUMMARY:Basic Pistol Class - Women Only Range Staff
DESCRIPTION:When & Where \nOur upcoming class is on November 14th from 8:00am (starting promptly at 8:30am) to 5:00pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game at 5 Lund Street in Litchfield. \nClass \nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a bench rest position and two-handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \nDay of Class \nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Although the classroom instruction will take place in a heated space\, the range is outdoors so participants should dress accordingly. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended\, but not required. \nWearing layers and gloves as well in case it is cold is also helpful. \nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \nRegistration \nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $85 and for League members it is $60. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. Space is limited to 24 participants and spots will only be held for people who pre-pay. SUMMARY:Advanced Shooters Shoot - CONQUER COVID!!
DESCRIPTION:This is one of our popular SKILL BUILDING classes! You will practice thinking before you shoot! We usually pick a Halloween-type theme in October but thought THIS would be perfect! \nAn instructor will call out a number or part (small or large ‘covid\,’ eyes\, mouth etc.) and you’ll have to *think* before you shoot. It’s not a matter of working fast\, it’s a matter of thinking on your feet! \nThis is a great class\, open to MEMBERS ONLY. \nRegistration is a must as the class size is limited. You will use your own firearm and ammunition in order to get practice in with your firearm. If you do not have your own firearm yet\, we’ll let you use one of the League’s.
