SUMMARY:RSO Class - MEMBERS ONLY
DESCRIPTION:The Range Safety Officer (RS)) course content consists of RSO’s roles and responsibilities\, range standard operating procedures\, range inspection and range rules\, firearm stoppages and malfunctions\, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency. RSO’s who have successfully completed the course then have the ability to become a Chief Range Safety Officer\, someone essential to training and supervising NRA Range Safety Officers and developing range standard operating procedures. \nThe class normally costs around $125 but because we want to train women to help The League during our shoots\, we are only charging $25 to cover cost and shipping of RSO manuals. \nThe class is a full day. We’re holding it on Saturday\, June 2nd from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM at Wilson Hill Pistol Club. There will be no shooting during this class. SUMMARY:Advanced Shooters Shoot
DESCRIPTION:***THIS CLASS IS FULL*** \nThe Advanced Shooters Shoot is for members only who have the skills to train in an advanced range setting such as a Concealed Carry class with shooting from a holster. \nShooters will be brought onto the range; one at a time\, will be faced with multiple targets and “no shoot” obstacles. When not on the range\, students will have the opportunity to work with an interactive simulator. It’s going to be a fun and informative event. \nThe event is being taught by our friend and multi-discipline instructor\, Al MacArthur\, Jr. \nEQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Attendees must bring their own firearm\, a sturdy\, non-collapsing\, holster which is worn outside the pants\, a minimum of 2 magazines\, 100 rounds of ammunition\, eye & ear protection and a baseball hat. As always\, wear the appropriate attire. Must have attended a New Shooter Class or Basic Pistol Class. \nThe class is intended as a more advanced class; women who already have rock solid safe handling skills and fully comfortable with their firearm. \nPlease arrive promptly (12:30 to get signed in\, bathroom\, etc) so that we may start the class at 1 pm. We reserve the right to decline late-arriving participants. \n**THIS CLASS IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CURRENT MEMBERS and limited to 12 women. ** There is no charge for this class – a perk of your membership!! \nTO REGISTER: email Cynthia at events@wdnh.org. Joining on Facebook is NOT sufficient. DESCRIPTION:This is our Annual Holiday Party event for members only. It’s one of the most fun events of the year! Potluck and Yankee Swap (if interested). Rather than grabbing a number from a hat for the Yankee Swap\, members shoot at snowman targets (the snowman is pointing a firearm at you!). Bring your own firearm (if it’s new be sure to practice loading and racking the slide before coming to the shoot because we’ll want to verify you can do it) and ammunition and get some practice before we welcome new shooters on the line! \nIt’s a great chance to meet other members and have fun shooting with the girls! \nYou must register for this event in advance as well so that we know how many instructors to have available that day.
