DESCRIPTION:Women’s Firearm Training\n\n\n\nBasic Pistol Class – WOMEN ONLY Range Staff. Women only students with women only range staff! Women empowering women! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen & Where \n\n\n\nOur upcoming class is on Saturday\, November 8th (starting promptly at 8:30 am) to 4:30 pm. It will be held at Londonderry Fish & Game at 5 Lund Street in Litchfield. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass \n\n\n\nThe NRA Basic Pistol Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This course is a minimum of 8 hours and includes classroom instruction and range time learning to shoot semi-automatic pistols. This is an instructor-led program and is not a blended training course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from a standing position; pistol selection and storage; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will also complete live-fire training on the range. A NRA Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of this course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay of Class \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring their own eye and ear protection (we have some available as well). Also bring beverages\, lunch and any snacks. Participants should dress accordingly dependent upon the weather. Please wear appropriate attire — closed-toe shoes and full-coverage shirts as hot brass can be very uncomfortable and present a safety hazard when it hits bare skin. A brimmed hat such as a baseball hat is recommended\, but not required. Wearing layers is also helpful. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Women’s Defense League will supply the firearms\, ammunition\, targets\, and student packets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\nAll participants must prepay to reserve their seat. The fee for non-members is $95 and for League members it is $70. Go to this link below to pay prior to class day. Space is limited to 24 participants and spots will only be held for people who pre-pay. NOTE: These classes fill up extremely fast\, spots are reserved on a first-come\, first-serve basis!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants are also expected to complete a liability waiver prior to participation which will be made available at the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can register for the class here:  https://wdlnh.org/services/basic%20pistol%20registration/ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*Refund/Cancellation Policy* If The League has to cancel an event due to weather or other issues\, we will gladly issue a refund if you cannot make the re-scheduled class. SUMMARY:Point & Shoot Basics - Members Only
DESCRIPTION:This is a member-only class for women who are comfortable shooting and have some experience on the range. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn self-defense scenarios\, a criminal isn’t going to wait for you to align your sites so you can stop him from attacking! This class will show students point and shoot basics so they can begin their journey to learning more about using a firearm in self-defense. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents will use their own firearm that they want to train with for self-defense\, whether in the home\, or to carry concealed. Students should also bring 100 rounds of ammunition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMembers MUST email events@wdlnh.org to reserve a spot for this class as space will be limited.
